A denture for whole mouth can be placed on either 2 or 4 implants per jaw. So, the whole mouth will have a total of either 4 or 8 implants that will firmly hold all 28 teeth of a denture in its position in the mouth.
A denture placed on implants is also called as: fixed denture, implant supported denture, overdenture, hybrid denture, click denture, click teeth and snap-on denture in USA.
The average cost of a complete denture of 28 teeth with 2 implants on both jaws (total 4 implants) is $ 9750 in location_name and $ 1280 outside of location_country at our clinic.
A permanent dental bridge of fixed teeth can also be placed on implants instead of a removable denture. Fixed teeth are better than a removable denture but are expensive than a denture. Read more about fixed teeth on full mouth implants here.

An implant surgery is done in two parts. In first part, implants are placed and in second part, a denture is placed over the implants.
First Visit: The first visit is of 4-5 days. In this visit, implants are placed. It takes 45-60 minutes to insert each implant. After the surgery, you can resume your daily work after 2-3 days. The denture is not yet placed in this surgery because the bone needs time to heal completely.
Healing / Waiting Time: The healing / waiting time is of minimum 2 months. During this period, you can wear a temporary denture if does not affect the healing.
Second Visit: The second visit is of 8-10 days. In this a complete denture of 28 teeth is placed over the implants that were inserted in the jaws in the first visit. No healing time is required after this.
