A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. A complete denture for whole mouth replaces all natural and missing teeth in the mouth.
A complete denture does not have any natural teeth to hold it in mouth. Therefore, it should be placed on minimum 2 implants in each jaw. The implants hold the denture in its place in mouth so that the denture does not move. A complete denture without implants causes wounds and bruises in mouth while talking, eating and chewing because it does not stay in one position in mouth without the implants.
A complete denture of whole mouth has 28 artificial teeth. So, there are no natural teeth to hold a complete denture in the mouth. Therefore, minimum 2 implants are inserted in both jaws to hold a complete denture in its place in the mouth. Read more about denture on implants here.
